The INC Distinguished Fellowship

A practice-based professional development initiative utilizing lesson study and laboratory classrooms as learning tools.

The fellowship is composed of 3 parts throughout the academic year:

Part 1

Weeklong Summer Institute

Connect with fellow educators over research + pedagogy.

Part 2

Three Full-Day Lesson Studies

Bring collaboration into the classroom and apply new knowledge.

Part 3

Three Individual Mentoring Sessions

Refine your own learning, tailored to your students and inquiry goals.

Beyond the Fellowship

After completing the fellowship, participants will be recognized as INC mentors at our Spring ceremony. As an INC mentor, you will be invited to showcase your laboratory classroom to teachers, administrators, policymakers, and researchers in your district and across the region.

In addition to becoming part of our regional network of laboratory classrooms, you will have ongoing opportunities to engage in collective inquiry, mentorship, classroom visits, and professional development workshops.
